Image
Yongchugyegok Valley (용추계곡) - Homepage : - Tel : Located in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, this picturesque valley takes its source from the 900-meter high Kalbongsan Mountain, winding around Ongnyeobong Peak. Stretching over 24 km, it is home to nine remarkable sights, earning it the nicknames "Nine Okgye Valleys" and "Nine Yongchu Valleys." Blanketed by pine nut forests, the valley’s clear waters flow past rocky walls and ridges, forming natural pools along its course. A notable highlight is the 5-meter tall Yongchupokpo Falls about 6 kilometers upstream, accompanied by a legend of a dragon’s ascent to heaven; a deep groove in the adjacent sloping rock is believed to be the dragon’s resting spot. Flanked by Yumyeongsan, Jungmisan, and Eobisan Mountains, the valley offers an excellent short hiking route for a half-day excursion. - Address : 223 San, Seungan-ri, Gapyeong-eup, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do ※ Introduction Information - Ccapacity : - Experienceable age :...

Its northern side is dotted with Buddhist temples such as the historical Okcheonsa Temple, Baengnyeonam Hermitage, Cheongyeonam Hermitage and Yeondaeam Hermitage. Although Yeonhwasan Mountain is called a "mountain," the gentle slopes and ridges are more similar to those of a hill. Unlike other mountains where the purpose lies in trekking and climbing to the mountain summit, the most fruitful experience one can get from exploring Yeonhwasan Mountain is a visit to Okcheonsa Temple. From the summit of the mountain, visitors will be able to see Okcheonsa Temple nestled in the mountain and the deep blue sea along Danghangpo Resort to the mountain's south. - Address : 544...
