Chodang Gelato Dokkaebi Branch is a gelateria and a cafe located right in front of Jumunjin Breakwater, the filming site of the popular Korean drama “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016).” It has a rotating selection of flavors centered around its signature menu item soft bean curd, and milk gelato. One can also have two different flavors in a cup. The interior is full of cups with cutesy characters and markers that one can use to draw on them. Second-floor seats are quite popular because they overlook Yeongjinhaebyeon Beach. Visitors who seek to secure a seat on the second floor are recommended to visit the store right before the opening time. Another popular menu is the Dokkaebi Coffee, made with Gangneung corn.

A secret historical archives, called Sagak, was built to store Joseonwangjo Sillok (annals of the Joseon dynasty) in 1614 (during the 6th year of King Gwanghaegun’s reign) within the mountain, while Seonukgak was built in 1641 (during the 19th year of King Injo’s reign) to store Seonwonrok (royal genealogical records). 聖徳大王神鐘（성덕대왕신종） - ホームページ : http://www.gyeongju.go.kr/tour （日本語自動翻訳機あり） - 電話番号 : +82-54-740-7500 聖徳大王神鐘（ソンドクテワンシンジョン）韓国に残る最も大きい梵鐘で高さ3.75メートル、口径2.27メートル、厚さ11センチメートルから25センチメートルを誇ります。重さは1997年に国立慶州博物館が精密実測した結果、18.9トンであることが確認されました。 新羅時代、景徳王（キョンドクワン・在位 742～765年）が父に当たる成徳王（ソンドクワン・在位 702～737年）の功徳を広く知らしめるため鐘の制作を試みましたが、その意を叶えることはできず、その跡を引き継いだ恵恭王（ヘゴンワン・在位 765～780年）が771年にようやく完成させ、聖徳大王神鐘と命名しました。 この鐘は当初、鳳徳寺（ポンドクサ）に吊るされていたことから鳳徳寺鐘と呼ばれていましたが、子供を鐘の鋳造時に溶かし入れたという人柱伝説があり、母親を呼ぶ子供のなき声に似た鐘の響きがあることから、その鳴き声になぞらえてエミレの鐘とも言われています。 鐘の最も上部には鐘の響きを反響させる音筒がありますが、これは韓国の銅鐘でのみ見られる独特な構造です。 鐘を吊り下げるために作られた環状になっている龍頭の部分は、龍の頭が彫刻されています。 鐘身には上下それぞれに幅広の帯状の模様があり、その中に花の文様を刻み込んであります。 さらに鐘の肩の部分の下には4ヶ所に蓮の花の模様や突出して作られた九つの乳頭を四角形の乳郭が取り囲んでいます。その乳郭の下の方には飛天像が2対描かれ、その間には鐘を突く部分・撞座が蓮の花の模様で作られています。 また鐘身の２か所にはこの鐘の来歴が刻まれています。 中でもこの鐘が特徴的なのは、鐘の下の開口部の縁のところどころが菱形の角のように尖った、他にはない形態をしている点です。 聖徳大王神鐘は統一新羅の芸術が各分野にわたり全盛期を迎えた時代に作られた鐘で、華麗な文様や彫刻技法はその時代を代表するものと言えます。 また鐘の側面に残っているおよそ千字余りの銘文は文章のみならず、その鐘に刻む手法そのものも秀でたものであり、およそ1300年が過ぎた今日でも欠けることなく現世に伝えられており、未来永劫伝承すべき...
