烽墩（봉돈） - ホームページ : 水原市文化観光 http://www.suwon.go.kr/sw-www/deptHome/dep_tour.jsp （韓国語） 1796年に完成した水原華城（スウォンファソン）の烽墩（ポンドン）は、夜には松明の灯りを、日中には狼煙を上げ、遠くにメッセージを伝える軍事信号体系のひとつです。 一般的な烽燧台（ポンスデ）は周囲をよく見渡せる山の頂にありますが、この烽墩は山頂にはなく築造方式が他とは異なっています。 城郭となっている水原華城の城壁から突出した形で造られ、花崗石を基礎に積み、上部は煉瓦を積み城壁より高く築城しています。 韓国の城郭様式としては稀な形式の水原華城の烽墩には、敵の攻撃に備え、城郭内から銃火器で攻撃できるよう砲穴（ポヒョル＝砲眼）や銃眼（チョンアン）が開けられ、烽燧軍の兵士たちが使うオンドル部屋や倉庫などもあります。 狼煙の合図は五つある狼煙台から上がる煙や松明の明かりがいくつあるかでその伝える内容が異なり、平時には最も南側にある狼煙台から一つ昼夜を問わず上がり、敵が国境近くに現れれば狼煙が二つ、敵が国境までたどり着いたと確認すると狼煙が三つ、敵が国境を超えると狼煙が四つ、いざ戦闘開始となると五つすべての狼煙台に煙や松明が上がったといいます。 - アドレス : 京畿道 水原市 八達区 正祖路 910 （長安洞） ※ 紹介情報 - お問い合わせ及びご案内 水原総合観光案内所 +82-31-228-4676 - 駐車施設 : この作品は韓国観光公社によって 20 年間作成され、最初のタイプの公共ヌリとしてオープンしました。韓国観光公社（https://kto.visitkorea.or.kr/jpn.kto）から無料でダウンロードできます。

The island is 53 kilometers off the mainland coast and can only be reached by taking a two-and-a-half-hour boat ride from Daecheonhang Port. The history of the island's inhabitation dates back to 202 BC when a Chinese General named Jeonhoeng settled here with about 500 followers after fleeing his failing Je Kingdom. Every year the villagers have a ceremony to commemorate the General, and even pray to him for strength during childbirth. The evergreen forest located behind the main village is designated Natural Monument No. 136, and is comprised of many tree species.
